How is it personalized?

Upload one clear photo of her face and type her first name. She becomes the heroine in every illustration - her own face, not a stand-in - and her name is on the cover and throughout the story.

What's the story?

In this original Bookarino Christmas story, your girl is waiting at the window on Christmas Eve, in the scarf Grandma knitted, hoping to hear Santa's sleigh. What she hears is a THUMP on the roof. Up there she finds nine reindeer, a tiny elf in green, a sighing Santa and Pip, a young reindeer who lost the silver bell when he bowed to a mouse. Without the bell the sleigh can't fly, so she climbs on Pip's back and follows its jingle over the rooftops and into the dark pines. A cat, a goose and a lost fox cub each need her help, and each sends her a little closer. She finds the bell hooked on a twig high in a pine, and back on the roof she rings it so brightly that the night turns to day. The sleigh lifts off with her and Pip on board, and Santa writes a gift tag with her name on it. In the morning, under the tree, there is a small silver bell. Gentle for bedtime: the worst that happens is a sigh from Santa, and the book was written to be read aloud on Christmas Eve.

Questions about the Christmas book

Is this a classic tale?

No, it is an original Bookarino Christmas story. Santa, his reindeer and a stocking to fill are the parts children already know. Pip and his lost silver bell are new, and the girl who finds the bell is her, with her own face in every picture. It is told in gentle rhyme, to be read aloud on Christmas Eve.

Will it really look like her?

That is the whole point of the book, and you see it before you pay: the free preview shows her on the cover and one inside page. If the finished book still isn't right, we refund it.

I'm her grandmother - can I make it?

Yes. You don't need to be the parent - just one clear photo of her face and her first name. Write the dedication yourself, and the first thing she reads when she opens the book will be your message.

How long does it take?

Every book is made to order. Printed and shipped in 3-5 business days.

What age is it for?

Ages 3-8. Little ones love being read to and pointing at themselves on every page; older children start reading their own name in the story.

Is there a version for a boy?

Yes. Your Boy Saves Christmas is the same story with a boy as the hero, and his face and his name on every page.

The sleigh can't fly without its little silver bell. Tonight, she is the one who finds it.

On Christmas Eve your girl hears a thump on the roof. Up in the snow sit Santa, nine reindeer and a tiny elf, and the sleigh won't move: Pip, a young reindeer, has lost the silver bell it cannot fly without. So she climbs onto Pip's back and follows the bell's faint jingle over the rooftops, down lantern-lit lanes and into the deep pine forest. On the way she helps a cat, a goose and a lost fox cub, and every small kindness brings her a little closer to the bell.

Her real face, from one photo. Not a character picked from a list - she is the girl in every illustration, from the cover to the last page.
