1. Who we are

This website is operated by “BM Tech Company” Limited, a company registered in Bulgaria (company no. (EIK) 208797240), registered address 6 Nikolay Haytov St., Entrance B, Office 3, Iztok Residential Complex, Izgrev District, 1113 Sofia, Bulgaria, trading as Bookarino (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@bookarino.se. By using this website or placing an order you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be at least 18 to place an order.

2. What we sell

Personalised hardcover storybooks for children aged 3-8. You give us a child's first name, a photograph and, if you wish, a dedication. We create illustrations in which that child appears as the hero of a classic fairytale, show you a free preview — the cover and one inside page — and, if you order, print and ship the finished book: a hardcover, 30 illustrated pages on smooth silk-finish paper, 28 × 21 cm (11 × 8.3 in).

3. How your book is made

We use modern image technology, including AI, so the child in the illustrations actually looks like themselves. The stories are classic fairytales in the public domain, retold by us. Every book is checked by a person before it is printed. We aim for a faithful likeness, but a pixel-perfect match to your photograph is not guaranteed — if the finished book does not look like your child, our guarantee covers it (see our Refund Policy).

4. Your content and your promises to us

When you upload a photo or enter a name or dedication (“Your Content”), you promise that: you own the photo or have the right to use it; you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or you have the express permission of the child's parent or legal guardian to use the child's name and photo; and Your Content is not unlawful, offensive or infringing anyone's rights. You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce and adapt Your Content solely to create your preview, produce your book and provide customer support. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted under our Privacy Policy. We will never use Your Content, or the artwork made from it, in advertising or for any other purpose without your separate written consent. We may decline to produce a book if an upload appears to violate these Terms, and will refund any payment for an order we decline.

5. The photograph you upload

We use your photograph for one purpose: making your book. We delete it 30 days after your order, as set out in full in our Privacy Policy.

6. Orders, prices and payment

Prices are shown at checkout in your selected currency (GBP for UK orders, USD for US orders) and include any VAT or sales tax shown before you pay. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay, as set out in our Shipping Policy. Your order is an offer to buy; the contract is formed when we email you an order confirmation. Payment is taken in full at checkout through our payment providers. If a price is obviously wrong because of a technical error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.

7. Cancellations and our guarantee

Set out in full in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: you may cancel for a full refund at any time before your book goes to print; once printing has started it cannot be cancelled, but if the finished book is not right we refund it — we do not offer a reprint or a remake instead.

8. Delivery

Production and delivery times shown on the site are estimates, set out in full in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

9. Intellectual property

The stories are public-domain fairytales retold by us. The retellings, the illustration style and this website are ours. The book we make for you is yours: keep it, give it, photograph it, post it. Please do not resell copies of it or reproduce it commercially.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier failures and postal disruption; this does not affect your right to a refund if your book does not arrive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, where we are established. Nothing in these Terms removes any protection you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live — including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for UK residents, and the consumer-protection laws of your state for US residents — and you may bring a claim in your own local courts where the law gives you that right.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
